Advanced Photography Course

Do you want to learn more about photo editing software like Adobe Photoshop®? Have you taken your camera off the Automatic settings, but are unsure on what the next steps are for getting the most out of your images? Would you like to learn more in-depth composition techniques, and how to stage and pose your subjects? Would you like to learn more about using flash to get the correct exposure in low light situations? How about using flash to enhance daylight images to get rid of shadows and produce more even lighting on your subjects? 

This 6-hour course is designed so you will learn how to properly edit your images to produce professional looking photographs. To configure and set up extra lighting to create evenly exposed images. You will come away with a new bag of tips and tricks for taking your images up to a whole new standard. 

One of the biggest portions of this course will be to giving you a working knowledge of how to use the Adobe® photo editing programs. Starting with the basics of importing and organizing your images, all the way up to compositing in and removing unwanted items and distractions out of your images in Photoshop. 

What is required:
• A camera capable of Manual mode settings
• A flash, which can be built in, or an extra one. 
• Your willingness to learn and fun with photography. 

What is not necessary but good to have:
• A laptop or iPad
• Adobe® Photographers Suite (1 week free trial at adobe.ca)

When: Dec 15, 2018 at 10am to 4pm (lunch provided)
Where: Chamber of Commerce Board Room at the Information Centre
Cost: $250.00/person includes lunch
